Scandalous
stories about the sexy, sketchy, and salacious
February 10th, 2023
The Wooly - 20 North Main Street
This is our most popular show! These stories are exactly what they sound like - a little R rated storytelling about sexy stuff, iffy stuff, not-so-smart stuff, and the like. Don't bring your kids or your 85 year old grandma to this one.......unless your 85 year old grandma is down for some drama, and then we'd love to see her there.
Tickets on sale NOW, you sassy thing!

Stories that celebrate the music that shaped us
The Wooly - 20 North Main Street
Music plays such a huge role in memory-making. Where were you when you first heard that song? What song did you dance your first dance to? What jam always brings you out to the dance floor? What was playing during that painstaking teenage break-up? Come hear stories about the music that makes our lives!

The Wooly - 20 North Main Street

Stories to celebrate GNV LGBTQ+ Pride
The Wooly - 20 North Main Street
This show is to add to the celebration that is Gainesville Pride. We want to bring together members of the LGBTQI+ community and allies for a night of supportive, celebratory, and powerful storytelling. This is our second time hosting this very special show.
This show will be at The Wooly, our beloved home for G&G GNV storytelling here in Gainesville.
Guts & Glory GNV's passion is to hold the space for stories of all shapes, sizes, and persuasions.
*Please note that this is not a commissioned show by Gainesville Pride. This is an independent Guts & Glory GNV event.
Pants on Fire
Who's telling the truth? You be the judge.
The Wooly - 20 North Main Street
Our "Pants on Fire" show features 3 storytellers, one who is lying and the 4th who is a fibber. The audience has to question the storytellers about their stories and crack the code! This time, we're infusing these wild stories with holiday magic to see if we can stump the storytellers or if they'll stump us!
This is one of our most popular shows. Come see what it's all about!
Want to submit a story idea?
Fire away, my friend! Email your submission to gutsandglorygnv@gmail.com and we will get back to you with further details. Send us anything...we all have stories to tell!
We can help you build your story - we can't wait to hear from you!
Don't worry about being perfect. Have fun, take chances, prepare as best you can, and go for it!
Our live storytelling shows at The Wooly & other venues are more generally-themed and are true, first person tales.
Check the listing below for our various themes, and see if you have a story that lines up.
We have 4-6 storytellers and the stories are 8-10 minutes long and memorized for the stage. You WILL be timed, and we will have a timer in the back of the venue to let you know when your time is up. So this is an important detail!
Make sure your story is in your authentic voice! (No motivational speeches, stand-up, sermons on the mount, etc.)
If you are cast in a show, you will have a required read-through as a cast. This allows you the (super fun) experience of sharing your story with other cast members, getting feedback, and get a sense of your 8-10 minute timing.
Then, you will receive personalized coaching to polish your story. We're in this together.
